A few extras!

Loved making this Christmas wall hanging, comes out every Christmas.
I don't usually use autumn tones, but just loved making this scrappy autumn wall hanging.
Drunkards path. This was one of the very first quilts I made.

Some more quilts from years gone by.

A gift for the mother in-law, which now lays in her spair room.

Every little boy's delight. For my son Logan, when he was a few years younger than he is now. It was his pride and joy at the time.

This was a 'challenge' with a small group of ladies I meet with. Just had the sky fabric to make something exciting with.

A quilt for a friend, which bought her much joy.

Tammie's quilt

I made this pattern up myself, and just love the colours in this quilt. Tammie loved it when I gave it to her too.

Cot quilts and an apron

This cot quilt was made for the prem ward at the hospital.

A flowery apron, really fun to make.

This cot quilt was for my granddaughter, just love the pattern!

A paper pieced little number for my niece's baby, really loved this pattern, probably because it is paper pieced!

And a close up.

Fun stuff made with Felt.

Last year I did a class at quilt retreat, and we made felt glasses cases, what a lot of laughs we had!
A candle mat I made recently, am really enjoying have something to do in front of the TV. Means I can be a little more sociable!!

Arielle's quilt

A 'fairies quilt made for out eldest granddaughter Arielle.

Geraniums.

Mary Transom is a very well known tutor in New Zealand. This wallhanging is a work in progress, and when it is finished I will share that with you. If you ever get the chance to go to one of her classes you will enjoy it so much. She is so talented and has such a lovely way in the class room.
A bit closer up. I will soo have to get this finished, I can't wait.

Our bed quilt

This is a quilt I made for our bed, just made out of scraps but just love log cabin.

Bags, bags, a new passion.

Haven't really done a lot of bag making, but the last few months have found me doing the odd one, and I can see how some people get very addicted to this fun hobby.

This is a machine cover I've just made too, at last something to keep the dust out of my machine.

Fun toys for the grandies

Sometimes I enjoy making toys for the grandchildren. Here are a few, I hope you enjoy looking as much as I did making them.

New York Beauty

This was done at quilt symposium in Auckland New Zealand can't quite remember what year. It was a class with Donna Ward, a well known New Zealand tutor. I had such fun doing it, and loved working with the bright colours.

Hayley's Quilt

Had a great time sitting at the computer choosing fabrics with my daughter Hayley. She new just what she wanted, and she decided silk sashing would be nice too. It does look good, but what a dog silk is to work with, no 'give', but worth the effort, and great to see the smile on her face.

Amie and Logan's quilt

This quilt is done in reproduction fabrics, and was pretty simple to make. The first I have done using these fabrics, and it surprised me just how much I enjoyed working with them. Amie and Logan have an older style house and it looks great in there. The sunbonnet sue quilt is also in this house.

Craig's Quilt

Well this quilt has a wee story behind it. I made it for my son for Christmas, and he just loved it, but unfortunately it resently got stolen with a lot of other stuff from his flat :( . The police have a photo of it, so hopefully they'll find it.
The outside and central rows are done with the x-Block. The link to the x-Blocks is www.quiltqueendesigns.com on the right column

Sienna's quilt

Thought you might like to see a few quilts I have done over the years. This first one is a quilt I made for Sienna, one of my granddaughters. I made up the pattern, but got the pictures of sunbonnet Sue of the net, was real fun to make.

About me.

Well, the experience of blogging is a completely new one for me, and I come to it with much trepidation, but I have wanted to do it for some time, and sometimes it's worth pushing yourself if you want to do something bad enough. I must thank my daughter Tammie who has given me some pointers in this process.

My husband Ralph and I have 5 lovely children, 3 who have left home and 2 teenagers still at home with us. We also have 3 beautiful grandchildren who are a great joy to us.

We live on one acre just outside the city of Tauranga in New Zealand.

I have a love of quilting, sock knitting, bag making, and a few other hobbies that at times I enjoy aswell.

My faith in Jesus Christ is the core of my life and in this blog I will at times share the joy and peace that it gives me.

Thankyou for taking time to visit. Sit back with you coffee or tea, and I hope that as the days go by you will find inspiration, encouragement, a laugh or two to cheer you day.

God bless, Tina.
