Little granny blocks

Have been working on a wee basinette quilt for a couple in our church that are soon having a baby.  I just love working with the old 1930's fabrics.  Thought you might like a little peep at what I'm up too.

Can't wait to get some borders on and get this little cutie finished. Will post a pic when it's all done.

Tauranga Patchwork and Quilters Group Exhibition

Well it's been a busy year and I haven't got a lot of quilting done, but I have been busy co-ordinating our clubs' exhibition. I've never done anything like this before so was pretty nervous about getting things right, and really didn't want to let anyone down. Thought I'd show you some pictures of it, hope you enjoy!
Got the lettering brushes out and made some signs up. Use to be a sign writer for different department stores in many years gone by, was fun to find it's a bit like riding a bike, never really forget.
Club ladies and I made a whole lot of paper flowers, bought some greenery and decorated an archway that we hired. Actually felt a bit special walking through it into the exhibition.
This is the club raffle quilt, designed by me and put together by all club ladies that wished to take part.
Entry table.
Six vendors donated other raffles too!
A quiet place to sit down with a coffee and sandwich and listen to lovely soft music and look at the quilts.
We had a mother and daughter guest exhibitor whose work was fantastic. Their names have just escaped me at the moment but will put them in when I look them up.
This is a display of some of the charity work our club does.
Our sales table.
This is a display of our 'challenge'. The theme was 'a grand entrance', some beautiful work by the ladies.
We had six vendors selling their wares. All in all it was a wonderful time. There were many prayers for it's success, and I hope no one was disappointed. Thankyou Lord for helping me get through this!!
